The existing deep floor plan and the need for a space to exhibit large pieces of artwork directed the creation of a naturally ventilated atrium in the centre of the plan form. The focal importance of this dynamic space extends to the exterior and manifests in two ceramic clad lift towers which provide dramatic emphasis to the main entrance point. The user floor spaces consist of full access floors, suspended ceilings, lighting and heating within a restrictive budget price of £40 per square foot (1990).
